American Standard of Lodging
Smithmore Castle’s American Standard Lodging offers guests the opportunity to experience the grandeur and atmosphere of the estate in a more relaxed and independent American style of hospitality. Accommodations are available for up to two guests per room, with convenient self-parking and no dress code required for this lodging experience. Guests are welcome to dress comfortably and enjoy their stay at their own leisure.
Upon arrival, a member of our staff will personally welcome you, show you to your room, provide your private access code, and acquaint you with the essentials of your stay. Arrival assistance and staff service are available daily between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Throughout their stay, guests enjoy access to our Amenity Towers, thoughtfully stocked with lattes, freshly brewed coffees, refreshments, and snacks. Fresh Fruit, Donuts and Coffee are prepared personally for your stay each morning, adding a warm touch of Smithmore hospitality to this more casual lodging experience.
Unlike our Proper British Estate Lodging, the American Standard is designed around privacy, comfort, and independence, rather than traditional household service and formality. There is no dress code, allowing guests to experience the distinctive surroundings of Smithmore Castle comfortably and entirely at their own pace.

Smithmore Castle is a private estate and family residence governed by its own bylaws, and our chef’s set menus reflect a traditional culinary philosophy. We are unable to prepare dishes that are entirely gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegan, and we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contact.
