At this private estate, our Master of the Kitchen is devoted to the art of classical culinary arts, presenting a dining experience steeped in heritage and refinement. As our kitchens cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contact, we are regrettably unable to provide gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, or vegan preparations. We are, however, delighted to accommodate discerning tastes with distinguished offerings of vegetarian fare, as well as refined selections of fish, poultry, and red meats.
Should the bride and or groom be unable to partake in the culinary artistry of our Master of the Kitchen, they may, with approval, provide their own fare for the occasion. All such arrangements must be submitted and confirmed in advance with the Castle Concierge. Kindly note that this courtesy does not diminish or alter the established cost of the packages herein.

Our venue is designed for ultra-luxury and refinement, specialising in intimate weddings of up to 75 guests, where quality reigns above all. To assist in your planning, we also partner with select vendors and extend flexible payment plans. Before reserving, we recommend having a few date options in mind, as availability is limited. At the Frolicking Folly, amidst the castle grounds, awaits a fairytale interlude designed for romance most rare. This two-hour experience unfolds within the storybook charm of our Gazebo, where a basket of dainty sandwiches, fine wine, and delicate pastries is laid in readiness. A hand-tied bouquet of fresh flowers is bestowed to mark the occasion, whilst the idyllic setting provides the perfect moment for a gentleman to bend the knee and offer his troth. Our attentive staff stand ready to assist in every detail, ensuring that each proposal is choreographed with grace, enchantment, and timeless elegance.

Designed for six enchanting hours within the grandeur of America’s only five-star castle hotel. Guests are welcomed to begin their evening with a distinguished upscale cocktail hour, complemented by a stately charcuterie station. Thereafter, a three-items buffet of carefully prepared dishes awaits, presented with elegance and ease. Whilst our footmen and attendants orchestrate every detail, couples may also provide their own wine and beer to lend a personal touch to the feast. The full majesty of the Castle is at your disposal, with access to the Knights Hall, the sun-kissed Balcony, and the picturesque Courtyard. Tables, chairs, fine linen, and complete set-up are graciously provided, ensuring that the day is marked by both splendour and effortless comfort. This package is the embodiment of noble celebration, where refinement and conviviality entwine to create memories of a lifetime.

The celebration is designed for six hours; should you wish to extend your festivities, additional hours may be reserved at $500 per hour. For parties not lodging at the Castle who require preparation rooms, a fee of $85 per room will apply. Event service staffing is provided at $200 per event hour. Please note, should event specifications be revised more than three times after the initial itinerary is sent, an administrative adjustment fee of $300 will be incurred.

In order to secure your wedding at Smithmore Castle, one must telephone 828-775-2433, where a member of the noble House of Smithmore will answer with the utmost propriety. Permit me to remind you that you are addressing a private house — a seat of distinction, refinement, and tradition — and as such, we reserve the right, with all courtesy, to decline events unsuited to our standards. We assume, quite naturally, that those who call upon us do so with sincerity and due consideration, having already given careful thought to their plans. Should you desire to see the Castle prior to engagement, you may do so by reserving a ‘Dining Experience’ or attending a ‘Castle Tour’ We do not extend complimentary viewings, nor do we consider ourselves part of a casual list of venues. We are well aware of the rarity of what we offer, and if you are a gentleman or lady of discernment, of grace, and of proper taste, then you shall find no finer setting in which to wed than Smithmore Castle.
